Why Motorized Shades Earn Their Keep

The first week with motorized shades feels like a novelty. By the second month, most clients tell us the house simply feels different — cooler on summer afternoons, brighter on winter mornings, private after dusk without anyone touching a cord.

The schedule does the work

Shades track sunrise and sunset for your address, so the west-facing rooms drop their shades before the afternoon heat arrives and raise them again for golden hour. Paired with lighting scenes, the whole house shifts mood on its own.

Fabric matters more than motors

Openness factors, blackout liners, and color all change how a room reads. We bring samples to the window where they'll live, because the same fabric behaves differently facing north than west.

It's the upgrade we most often see spread from one room to the whole house within a year.
